Vacancy Alert Help
If you are not receiving vacancy alerts or are encountering problems with the service, we suggest you log into your Vacancy Alert subscription and check the following.
- Ensure the box marked “Email me vacancies matching my criteria” is ticked. (If you wish to stop receiving vacancy emails, click on this box to un-tick it.)
- Check that the categories of vacancy in which you are interested have been ticked.
- If you have entered keywords, make sure they are whole words (for example ‘science’ rather than ‘sci’).
- If you have entered keywords, note the difference between the AND and OR keyword searches. If you entered ‘physics, science, maths’ the AND keyword search will provide only vacancies that include every single one of those words – for example you won’t get vacancies that include the words ‘physics’ and ‘science’ but not the word ‘maths’. The OR search will return vacancies with any of those words.
