Advertising policy
The Ministry of Education and the Gazette in no way endorse, approve or accept responsibility for any product or service advertised in this publication or for any website referred to.
Organisations wishing to advertise, display website URLs or have website links in the Gazette or Gazette Online must assume responsibility for ensuring their material is appropriate.
However, Gazette staff will check all websites mentioned in the online and print versions of the publication to one level past their introductory homepage in an attempt to avoid links to inappropriate or offensive content.
Classified Advertising
The Gazette offers a Classified advertising section to cover areas such as teaching positions wanted, and services and products for schools. Classifieds should be no longer than 55 words (word count does not include address details), and should be sent to ads@edgazette.govt.nz, by fax to (04) 917 3991, or by mail to New Zealand Education Gazette, PO Box 249, Wellington. The cost for one issue is NZ$250 + GST (print only). They appear on the Gazette Online and in the next issue of the Gazette. Classifieds will not be published until payment is received.
Advertising Conditions
All advertising must be received 10 days prior to the print publication date. All information about advertising options and charges can be found on the Rate card. The New Zealand Education Gazette will supply one proof copy of display advertising artwork (when produced in-house) prior to publication. Secondary amendments made at this stage will be chargeable at full production costs.
Cancellations
Cancellation of contracted advertisements will not be accepted two days beyond booking deadline.
Overdue Material
Where advertising material is overdue, space will be charged as booked.
Acceptance
All advertisement copy is subject to the approval of the publisher who reserves the right to reject any advertisement or copy.
Indemnity
It is the responsibility of the advertiser to ensure that the advertisements comply with the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any amendments made to it. All advertisements are accepted for publication on the condition that the advertiser indemnify the publisher a nd its servants against all actions, suits, claims, loss and/or damages resulting from anything published on behalf of the advertiser.
Payments
Payment shall be required 30 days from print publication.
